Control Unit Vs. Black Box - Speed

Ecco una prova comparativa per evidenziare eventuali differenze dinamiche nell'utilizzo della Carrera Digital Control Unit (CU) 30352 o di una Carrera Digital Black Box (BB) 30344.

Here is a comparative dynamic test to find any objectives differences in the use of the Carrera Digital Control Unit (CU) 30352 or  the Carrera Digital Black Box (BB) 30344 .

Prima prova la velocità. Su entrambe le postazioni è possibile settare 10 diverse velocità dalla 1, la più lenta, fino alla 10, la più veloce. Le domande sono "C'è veramente differenza tra le varie velocità?" "Quanto è veloce?".

Utilizzo sia per la CU che per la BB la mia pista denominata Misano 1 (pista lunga veloce) e come slot car la Ferrari 458 Italia (la più veloce sul quel circuito), guard-rail per la pista e magneti per la slot car. Ecco i risultati.

First at att the speed test. On both stations you can set 10 different speeds from 1, the slowest, to 10, the fastest. The questions are "Is there really a difference among the various speeds?" "How fast?".
For both the CU fand the BB  the Misano track 1 (long fast track) and as slot cars  the Ferrari 458 Italia (the fastest on that circuit), guard-rail for the track and magnets for slot car. Here are the results.

(1) sempre a pieno gas (always full throttle)

(2) pieno gas al 90% (90% of the time full throttle)

(3) troppo veloce (too fast for having fun)

Considerazioni finali: esiste una reale differenza nelle diverse 10 velocità anche se non così evidenti in posizioni vicine (es: velocità 7 e 8), la differenza può essere valuta in un incremento delle prestazioni pari al 100% ovvero i tempi dimezzano passano dalla velocità più bassa a quella più alta.

Le prime 3 velocità non consentono  adeguate prestazioni ma sono utili per far giocare neofiti o dei bambini piccoli per farli allenare a prestazioni maggiori, per contro le 2 velocità massime non sono completamente sfruttabili ad un utilizzo digitale tanto è vero che se il tempo secco sul giro è risultato migliore a velocità 10 le migliori prestazioni sulla distanza di 10 giri si sono avuto con la velocità 8.
Tutte le mie considerazioni valgono in relazioni ai materiali testati.

Control Unit 30352

Ho comprato la Control Unit 30352 perché interessato ad una gestione del carburante più reale, la macchina è più lenta con il pieno e diventa più veloce quando il carburante diminuisce.
Un'altra utile capacità della CU 30352 in abbinamento al Lap Counter 30355 è il fatto di poterla posizionale a cavallo della Pit Lane mantenendo il computo dei giri effettuati, infatti il Lap Counter 30342 posizionato a cavallo della Pit Lane non conta le soste ai box.
Sono emersi i primi problemi.
Le slot car con la vecchia Black Box quando il carburante diminuiva incominciavano a lampeggiare ad indicare che a breve sarebbe stato necessario un rifornimento, inoltre durante il rifornimento continuavano a lampeggiare fino ad avvenuto completamento.
Con la nuova Control Unit le slot car lampeggiano quando sono già in riserva e smettono di lampeggiare appena entrano ai box.
I bought the Control Unit 30352 because I was interested in a more effective management of fuel, the car is slower with the full of fuel and becomes faster when the fuel decreases.  Another useful capability of the CU 30352 in conjunction with 30355 Lap Counter is the fact of being able to straddle the positional Pit Lane keeping the computation of laps, in fact, the Lap Counter 30342 positioned astride the Pit Lane does not count the pit stops.  There were some initial problems.  Slot car with the old Black Box slowed down when the fuel began to decrease to indicate that it would be necessary in the short refueling, also during refueling continued to flash until finisced.  With the new Control Unit slot car flash when they are already in stock and will stop flashing as they enter the pits.
